1. BARCELONA REPORT

Just returned from a week in Barcelona Spain where I visited some local chiropractors, did a great philosophy seminar with Billy D, visited the new chiropractic school, and generally explored the old part of the city.

Chiropractic is doing well in Spain even though they can’t call themselves doctors. Has to do with the academic equivalence and the national laws, but it’s really not such a detriment. Because unless you really go over the top with advertising or do something stupid, chiropractic is largely unregulated. And if you have the slightest ability to tell the story to people, in Spanish, with a little persistence you might survive. Or even prosper, as many are, who have really learned to Tell the Story.

With the medical model basically collapsing all around us, people are ready to try something new, both in the US and in Europe. Many are desperate to try anything at all even if it’s wacky. So in this context, considering the other alternatives, chiropractic is a very reasonable option: spinal segments locked out of place sending flawed signals to the brain. Sounds logical. 200 DCs in a country with 48 million people? That’s a fair opportunity for the world’s greatest health paradigm, wouldn’t you say?

This is exactly what we talked about at the seminar at the beautiful Le Meridien hotel on the La Rambla promenade in the old city. We talked about how the best of today’s neuroscience is validating the principles that DD and BJ laid down back in the day. So we see how vapid and false is the mantra we always hear about how there is no proof that subluxation can have any salubrious neurological effect, etc., from the tiny group of yammering monkeys who seek to dilute and marginalize the profession today.

It’s precisely the same false sloganeering used with vaccines where they say there is no proof of any connection between autism and vaccines, etc. Both those statements are patently false, and the only people who believe them are the ones who are practically inert and too lazy to do the slightest amount of reading on their own. Because in both cases there is abundant scientific evidence at the highest levels that supports the real truth of the matter. See #2 below for upcoming seminar dates.

There are many DCs in Europe who are rocking. You have to learn to dodge the landmines of course, but once you’ve learned the convoluted thinking of the various med-washed regulators and know what not to do, once you get to the people, they’re totally ready to hear the story. You know, the one about Subluxation. So then if you can actually deliver the advertised goods, the practice will grow. That’s it.

The Barcelona school is new and has not yet had its first graduating class. But it certainly seems like the hope of the profession in Europe. Dr Adrian Wenban is very focused and committed – he got the message a long time ago. He knows the story, is not afraid to tell the story, and realizes a school’s obligation to teach the story to the students. He actually honors the contract: the quid pro quo between a professional school and the graduates, which seems so lacking in today’s schools worldwide.

Like Life West, if you graduate from this Barcelona school you’re going to know what a DC is and what the tradition has been that has allowed the profession to survive for the past century. And also what the contract between the DC and the patient should be: what is the special skill that only the chiropractor and no one else can offer the general public. Think you get that at every school? You haven’t travelled, my friend.

What else – the city. Even though I lived in Europe for 2 years and I’ve been there many times, somehow I always missed Barcelona. It’s about 4 million people down on the Mediterranean coast in the south of Spain, weather not unlike San Diego, maybe a bit warmer on average. It is one of the main tourist cities in Europe, and in my opinion better for a tourist than London or Paris today because all of the tourist area is localized in the old town, with about one square mile of Walking Streets – no cars during the day. And literally thousands of shops, restaurants, bars, night clubs, museums, churches, parks– all together in a year-round tourist zone. At 1 am any night of the week you can go out and walk around till you find a restaurant you like – there’ll be hundreds of people still out, different from the daytime, when there are thousands.

I didn’t even focus on the history of the place much and know very little, but just from walking around the narrow old cobblestone streets one can tell that many of the buildings are from the 1700s and some were built by the Romans back around 400 AD. I stayed in one hotel on Calle D’Avinyo, a little street not far from the beach, where Picasso used to live back when he was painting. At that time the street was no tourist area – it was all flophouses and brothels to accommodate sailors from the nearby port. Now it’s all trendy shops, hotels and restaurants. But it was intriguing to live on a street with that much history. What little I saw was nothing– you’re surrounded by centuries of stories and history at every turn. I was hardly even paying attention.

Thousands of tourists from all over the world, but mainly Europe, flock to Barcelona all the time. The food is definitely an attraction – with such a high concentration of restaurants on the walking street area: they can’t be that bad or people will just walk next door. The food is simple, varied, and cooked onsite – very little is served processed. If you’re an idiot, or an American, or both, you might not notice, but most people are drawn to the nutritious meals of paella and tapas and fish and bocadillos, on and on – places where it takes a while to prepare the food and you’re in no hurry to eat it. The bread is fantastic especially the baguettes integrales. De-bunks the whole gluten-free scam, right in front of your eyes. No hydrogenated oil and no HFCS, so it goes bad in a day, like bread is supposed to.

Takes some getting used to, being in a culture where the great majority of young people are normal weight. It’s really different – you get an idea what a human population was supposed to look like. There are some whales cruising around, don’t get me wrong, but seems like they’re usually from the US or Germany. A lot of guys come from everywhere to watch a parade of some of the most beautiful girls in the world casually walking by on any street, at normal weight. It sure ain’t California! But here it’s the norm, not the ones doing Insanity or Tai-bo or gym rats – this is the average physical appearance. A combination of diet and walking, walking, walking. You have to see it to know what I’m talking about.

There’s a great beach and a marina right there for sea activities, with a mall, Imax and tons of museums, though many of them are pretty cheesy, for some reason. All in all Barcelona seems like a great town, except for the smoking and the stupid retro barbaric bullfights. All those tourists can’t be wrong.

Probably the most enlightening aspect of Euro travel these days is watching BBC news and other shows and hearing how they describe the US and the things we’re doing. Like a veil is pulled away, and suddenly what would be considered PC-unthinkable and would never be aired in the US – suddenly this point of view is broadcast as common sense. How does the rest of the world see us, without the constant veneer of our self-justifying schlock media? And you realize, if you hadn’t before, how insipid and banal is the everyday sludge being churned out by US TV newsreaders.

Like on 9/11, for example, BBC had several programs with extremely articulate and well informed reporters– not newsreaders! – talking about what could and could not have happened on 9/11, who has benefited from it in the last 10 years, and what the global impact has been from this new fabrication: the terrorist industry. There was another show on Afghanistan where they took a poll and discovered that 92% of Afghan people today never heard of 9/11! They think the US is bombing them because of the obvious reasons: opium and oil. Why else? Terrorism? What’s that?

And then they had another very literate show interviewing one engineer after anther about the physics surrounding the collapse of the twin towers, and believe me any European over the age of 21 knows what the phrases sequential charges and thermite residue mean. Try asking for that type of awareness around here. Cui bono? – like what lawyers say. Conspiracy theory: that’s what US media has succcessfully sold to most Americans. No further need to question it. It’s as dead an issue as JFK and the grassy knoll. Refreshing to see how the rest of the world is not quite so easily led and still has a few grey cells left.

The other thing is, you see all that stuff on TV and google about the supposed global recession — how it’s largely fear-based hysteria. With all the thousands of hotels at $200-300 per night, you couldn’t find a room for more than one night– everything was sold out. And were talking tens of thousands of tourists every day, all year long. So a lot of people are doing fine, let me tell you. Thought creates reality: poor-mouth creates poverty. Just like last month in the Caribbean, the cruise ship was totally sold out – 2500 hundred people per cruise, and all the ships are sailing every day. Want to find out what’s going on in the world? Throw that TV out, and get out there and see it!

2. Upcoming Seminars

The Chiropractic Seminar

    Los Angeles – 24 Sept
    Seattle – 15 Oct
    Oklahoma City – 19 Nov
Connect Chiropractic Convention: Culver City, CA – 1 Oct

No more equivocation, OK? What are they trying to do to our profession? Either chiropractic is a real and vital profession or it isn’t. What special skill does the chiropractor have to offer that no other profession can provide? Why do we seem afraid to talk about it?

This nuts and bolts seminar will give the doctor a useful and defensible understanding of chiropractic not readily available to the profession today, with a focus on the communication of these ideas to those who have failed to be cured by other doctors. We will take an unflinching look at what is really going on within the profession today.

Looking at the biology of the adjustment, aberrant afferents, neuroplasticity, and issues of genetics and epigenetics in the replicating organism. Chiropractic at the top of the healing arts – unbounded potential. Why the ‘leaders’ don’t know it.

First time in Los Angeles for this one day event, the focus is to take an unflinching look at what is really happening with our profession today, and to underscore the value of chiropractic care, now more than ever before. Why are there some docs with a hobby practice and others with rocking practices, both in the same town?

Other lecturers offer the pieces of the puzzle, but here we connect the dots. We will say what others are afraid to say.

We’ll learn how today’s best science is validating chiropractic’s traditional principles, fundamentals which are being vilified by many voices within the profession. How the adjustment can affect a higher order of biology than just the mechanical.

Learn that there is a story. Learn to tell the story.

3. THE POURCYROUS STUDY:
PEER REVIEWED STUDY PROVES VACCINES CAUSE BRAIN INJURY

For years I’ve been saying in the vaccine seminar and in my textbook on vaccines that this is just scratching the surface of the enormous body of research into Problems with Vaccines. At my recent lecture in Oxford England an attendee gave me a new book she has written about Shaken Baby Syndrome. In Catherine England’s book I learned about the landmark Pourcyrous study on brain inflammation following vaccines. ( Journal of Pediatrics 2007, vol 151, p 167)

In a sample of 239 premature infants (less than 35 weeks) tests were done using two parameters for brain inflammation: C-reactive protein and evaluation of cardiopulmonary function. It was a very thorough study, University of Tennessee, differentiating the effects from a single vaccine vs. multiple vaccines given to these premature newborns.

C-reactive protein is a blood value test, high levels of which indicate inflammation.

No wonder the results were kept out of media: they were startling.

Among premies getting a single vaccine shot: 70% had elevated CRP ( C-reactive protein)

Premies who got multiple vaccines: 85% had
high CRP.

Fully 16% had cardiopulmonary events within 48 hours, including apnea and bradycardia. In a premie, these effects are potentially fatal, of course.

Brain hemorrhages occurred in 17% of those with single vaccines, and in 24% getting multiple vaccines.

As expected, the most dangerous vaccine was DPT. Multiple vaccines included Hepatitis B, polio, DPT, H. influenzae, and Prevnar.

Several things here. The recklessness in giving vaccines to premies isn’t even discussed. Oh, so it’s for the sake of ‘science,’ so it’s OK, right? Of course there are no risk/benefit studies whatsoever in this area. But it stands to reason if a normal newborn takes at least 2 years to develop even a rudimentary immune system, how much more ill-advised it is to subject a premie who has no immune system at all as well as no blood brain barrier to an array of vaccines which contain neurotoxins such as

mercury
aluminum
formaldehyde
ethylene glycol

in addition to a host of manmade pathogens. Knowing this alone, what kind of “scientist” would it take to even conduct a study like this in the first place on the fragile systems of premature infants? Sounds like something Dr. Mengele would come up with.

One struggles for adjectives to describe this policy of vaccinating premies. But if these dangerous results are so high at this age, how much lower results could we expect just a few weeks later when they’re at the usual age for getting multiple vaccines?

What are we doing? What are scientists playing at? How smart or how dumb do you have to be to realize how cavalier we’re being with the most delicate medium in the universe: the infant’s brain neurology? You can bet these geniuses aren’t experimenting with their own children.

Here’s how the condescending conclusion of this searing study evaluates its own data on potentially lethal apnea and slowed heart beat:

“In a minority of infants immunized, cardiorespiratory events were associated with presumed need for intervention”

A minority? 17% is a pretty high minority especially if you’re talking about the chances of your own infant dying from slowed heart rate and cessation of breathing! And for what? The value of vaccines has never been clearly demonstrated, never proven in an independent controlled risk/benefit analysis. In other words, we don’t know if they work or not. But we’re positive they can kill babies. “Presumed need for intervention”? Like what? Drugs? Intensive care? How about removing the root cause: just don’t vaccinate!

The next time your hear some mouthpiece recite the rote mantra about how there’s no proof vaccines cause brain injury, stop them in mid sentence with the Pourcyrous study.
http://www.jpeds.com/article/S0022-3476(07)00185-0/abstract

As a parent, wouldn’t it be important to know that your child stands a 17% chance of a breathing crisis as the result of a vaccine? Or a 24% chance of brain hemorrhage with multiple vaccines, which multiples routinely begin at 2 months of age, with 7 vaccines on one day? I mean here’s the information from the best medical sources. Is the pediatrician going to tell the parents about these studies? Isn’t this level of danger worth knowing about?

What are we doing to our kids?

4. Excerpt from
Vaccination Is Not Immunization:

DARWINISM AND VACCINES

Are people becoming more or less aware of vaccine problems?

With the tens of millions spent annually to advertise and promote vaccines, it would seem that all parents would be absolutely sold by now. They’re not. The percentage of unvaccinated children in the US is increasing very slightly every year, despite:

incessant media endorsement
school requirements
the course of least resistance

The increase is astounding when one considers that to resist vaccination requires self-education – enormous personal effort, following up the spark of a new perception that hey, there might
really be something to all this noise about vaccines, and I as a parent will do whatever is necessary to protect my child. Even if it means actually reading something. The struggle to step off the common treadmill thus becomes a war of attrition. A brick by brick proposition.

A true awareness of vaccines can never be mainstream – not with the never-ending attacks on self reliance, self education, and allowing the child’s natural immune system to develop unmodified.

The point of view expressed in this book can never be endorsed in popular media. It can never be the prevailing conventional outlook on vaccines, no matter how many children are damaged. Vaccines are here to stay. The majority of the children in the US will always be vaccinated. And the amount of vaccine damage will continue to increase.

Any upside to this dismal landscape? Well, the human species is subject to the same laws of natural selection as all other life on earth. Those with the weakest immune systems drop out. The immuno-suppressive effect of the immense viral load being forced onto the young through vaccines over long periods of time will certainly cause their line to have the least chance of replication. It will dilute the DNA of their progeny forever.

In the US during the past 50 years, where the vaccine load has been increased by more than 2500%, look at what is already clearly observable in the health and intelligence of our children: fatter, sicker, dumber. Play that pattern forward another 50 years, 100, 200. Nature will always take its course.

Anyone who studies the social and epistemological dynamics of the vaccine issue for enough time will eventually be confronted with the ultimate fruitlessness of direct confrontation on this issue, for the most part. The uneducated, and the militantly uneducated will always, always vaccinate their children. And thereby over time may be selected out of the species. It’s neither good nor bad: it’s simple genetics.

Apocalyptically speaking, this then may well be the best we can hope for by way of a silver lining, in the dark and murky world of vaccines that we have created today.
